Despite its long and plentiful coat, Siberian cats actually shed less hair than many other breeds and are known to be hypoallergenic. They can grow to be quite large, thanks in no small part to their outsized fur, and can be very agile in spite of their size.

Grooming & Care Not so! Although they have a three-layered coat, Siberians have glossy fur that you only need to brush once or twice a week to avoid tangles and matting. They molt heavily at the end of winter and then have a lighter molting in the summer, so it's a good idea to brush your pal daily during these times.

ALLERGY INFORMATION Because the Siberian produce far less Fel-d1 makes them hypoallergenic and a welcome option for allergy sufferers. The average cat produces 63,000 micrograms of Fel-d1 per gram. The Siberian produces approximately 200 micrograms per gram.
